Comment For Into The Woods Full Movie Nederlands

Name : Stephen Whitty / Alias : Newark Star-Ledger
Rob Marshall - who previously shepherded a glossy if slightly diluted version of "Chicago" to the screen - does a decent job transferring the material.

Name : Dana Stevens / Alias : Slate
Instead of being a rueful meditation on the inevitable disappointments of adulthood, the last act plays out as a generic dystopian bummer.

Name : Karen D'Souza / Alias : San Jose Mercury News
This movie always seems to distance itself from that existential truth that was at the core of Sondheim's original.

Name : Elizabeth Weitzman / Alias : New York Daily News
The life lessons are delivered with insight and heart, the rightfully beloved music is well handled and the cast is so enthusiastic that we can excuse some rough patches.

Name : Steven Rea / Alias : Philadelphia Inquirer
A jolly mash-up of symbol-laden, signature once-upon-a-time tales about lust, envy, greed, and misguided pursuits of happiness.

Name : Jesse Hassenger / Alias : AV Club
Even if this Into The Woods lacks the exhilaration of the best movie musicals, it does capture the show's emotional intimacy - no small task in a field that favors razzle dazzle.

Name : David Edelstein / Alias : New York Magazine/Vulture
Corden is a wonderfully funny, self-effacing bloke - I'm thrilled at the prospect of seeing him nightly, hosting his own show after Colbert. Maybe he'll have Emily Blunt as a guest. It's her movie.

Name : Chris Nashawaty / Alias : Entertainment Weekly
The first two-thirds of the film, which are like the Brothers Grimm's Greatest Hits on laughing gas, have a fizzy, fairy-dust energy.

Name : Lou Lumenick / Alias : New York Post
"Into the Woods'' thankfully retains most of its wit and bite, and showcases two of the year's very best female performances, from Streep and Blunt.

Name : Rex Reed / Alias : New York Observer
I left disenchanted and irritated by so many missed opportunities.

Name : Peter Travers / Alias : Rolling Stone
Yes, the sets and costumes elicit swoons, but it's the peerless Sondheim score, however truncated, that makes this Woods a prime destination.

Name : Stephen Holden / Alias : New York Times
"Into the Woods," the splendid Disney screen adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical, infuses new vitality into the tired marketing concept of entertainment for "children of all ages."

Name : Joe Williams / Alias : St. Louis Post-Dispatch
"Into the Woods" could have taken a well-worn path toward stagey sentiments, but those who worried that Hollywood might drain the enchantment from the Enchanted Forest can live happily after.

Name : Michael Phillips / Alias : Chicago Tribune
For years, composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim's 1987 fairy tale mashup, written with librettist James Lapine, has hacked its way through the thicket of Hollywood development. And the movie now before us? Here's a relief: It's good.

Name : Ben Sachs / Alias : Chicago Reader
With the exception of Meryl Streep (as the Witch) and James Corden (as the Baker), the cast is bland, and the bombastic orchestrations tend to steamroll the nuances of Sondheim's score.

Name : Alan Scherstuhl / Alias : Village Voice
Director Rob Marshall simply cuts from one tale to the next, isolating his actors. There's little sense that the fairytale space is a shared one - it's just a bunch of noisy incident transpiring in unrelated treestands.

Name : Wesley Morris / Alias : Grantland
The movie is a watchable, tuneful contraption.

Name : Colin Covert / Alias : Minneapolis Star Tribune
"Into the Woods" is a paean to the primal magic of storytelling.

Name : Ty Burr / Alias : Boston Globe
Marshall's film captures enough of the emotions that course through this sneaky fairy tale about childish things like love, sex, grief, insecurity, abandonment, and forbearance.

Name : David Rooney / Alias : Hollywood Reporter
This twisty fairy-tale mash-up shows an appreciation for the virtues of old-fashioned storytelling, along with a welcome dash of subversive wit.

Name : Nancy Churnin / Alias : Dallas Morning News
As with Chicago, Marshall makes bold choices, but they pay off. His cast may glitter with film stars, but they work as an ensemble and keep their stories emotionally true against a terrifically rich orchestral accompaniment.

Name : Moira MacDonald / Alias : Seattle Times
Does it work as a movie? Thanks to a few cast members, the answer is - yes, and for the most part quite nicely.

Name : Scott Foundas / Alias : Variety
If so much as one tween viewer adds Sondheim to his or her iPod playlist alongside the likes of "Let it Go," all will have been worthwhile.

Name : Claudia Puig / Alias : USA Today
With its ominous gnarled trees and enchanted look, Into the Woods is a place worth exploring.

Name : Brad Wheeler / Alias : Globe and Mail
What is celebrated is the art of storytelling and the bedazzling attraction of a killer cast, uninhibited acting, giddy escapism, attractive visuals and an extroverted score.

Name : Richard Roeper / Alias : Richard Roeper.com
Rumbles on for too long and has some dry patches here and there-but just when we're growing fidgety, we get another rousing musical number or another dark plot twist, and we're back in business.

Name : Betsy Sharkey / Alias : Los Angeles Times
What makes "Into the Woods" so entertaining is the cleverness of the tale itself and the way specific characters match the talents of its storytellers.

Name : Peter Rainer / Alias : Christian Science Monitor
The Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine 1987 musical Into the Woods has been transferred to the screen by director Rob Marshall with most of its complexities and light-dark tonalities intact.

Name : Stephanie Merry / Alias : Washington Post
Some of the musical's superfans will feel shortchanged by the movie no matter what, but you have to give credit where it's due. The adaptation is pretty faithful to the original - for better and worse.

Name : Preston Jones / Alias : Fort Worth Star-Telegram/DFW.com
The sly send-up of fantasy tropes and healthy doses of humor help Into the Woods feel very much like the books and films it gently satirizes, even as it stands on its own as a solid entry into the musical-fantasy genre.

Name : Bill Goodykoontz / Alias : Arizona Republic
The cast is top-notch, the story is satisfyingly dark, the performances are fun and, of course, the songs are terrific.

Name : Rafer Guzman / Alias : Newsday
A capable cast and some very fine songs, but parents should take note of the dark themes. This Disney movie ain't kid stuff.

Name : Alonso Duralde / Alias : TheWrap
The stage musical delightfully reminded audiences that while happy endings are possible, you should always be careful about what you've wished for. Now comes the movie version, and it's a singing and dancing manifestation of both of those ideas.

Name : Christine Dolen / Alias : Miami Herald
For anyone who can appreciate the darker side of fairy-tales told in a musical with depth and nuance, Into the Woods is a journey worth taking.

Name : Linda Barnard / Alias : Toronto Star
A mixed bag of clever twists on familiar storybook myths, engaging performances and forgettable songs.

Name : Lindsey Bahr / Alias : Associated Press
It's hard not to get swept up in the grand production of it all.

Name : Cath Clarke / Alias : Time Out
If you go down to the woods today. you'll find A-listers dressed like 'Game of Thrones' extras belting out showtunes.

Name : Mick LaSalle / Alias : San Francisco Chronicle
With archness and irony, "Into the Woods" goes deeper into the fairy stories, allowing us to see familiar archetypes in new and not so flattering ways.

Name : James Berardinelli / Alias : ReelViews
Into the Woods left me out in the cold.

Comment For Gratuit Regarder 2016 Cafe Society Filme

Name : Kate Taylor / Alias : Globe and Mail
Cafe Society is mainly a small and unnervingly familiar private drama that is never funny enough nor smart enough to justify its anachronistic style.

Name : Ann Hornaday / Alias : Washington Post
With each succeeding year, Allen's insular version of the past feels more eccentric. Depending on the viewer, it's either happily reassuring or strangely out of touch.

Name : Mark Feeney / Alias : Boston Globe
It's about '30s glamour and swank. More accurately, it's about nostalgia for those things. Either way, it's not about characters or chemistry or anything much resembling emotion.

Name : Eric Kohn / Alias : indieWIRE
Aided by an anxious Jesse Eisenberg and the gently expressive Kristen Stewart, "Cafe Society" works about as a well as a decent-but-not-great Allen movie can.

Name : Peter Travers / Alias : Rolling Stone
Buoyed by the nuanced performances of Stewart and Eisenberg, the 80-year-old Woody Allen creates a ravishing romance shot through with humor and heartbreak.

Name : Anthony Lane / Alias : New Yorker
There is a gravity to it, and a tug of sadness, that cannot be accounted for by the story.

Name : Joe Morgenstern / Alias : Wall Street Journal
The whole film feels charmingly insubstantial, just as it's meant to, with beautiful settings, amusing people and, for philosophical context, a classic Woody Allen one-liner.

Name : Peter Rainer / Alias : Christian Science Monitor
Cafe Society, is intermittently lovely and melancholic.

Name : Bilge Ebiri / Alias : Village Voice
Lovely visuals, terrific performances, renewed ambition: There's enough good in Cafe Society to make it worth your while - and also to make you wish it were better.

Name : Kyle Smith / Alias : New York Post
Woody Allen has made 46 films, of which I've seen 46, and I'm not sure which of us is more tired of them.

Name : Bill Goodykoontz / Alias : Arizona Republic
It'll probably never make it into anyone's list of the 10 most-important Allen films. But I'd watch it again over a few movies that would.

Name : Matthew Lickona / Alias : San Diego Reader
It's handsome, and pleasant, and polished, and sedate. You won't laugh or cry. You may, however, smile or sigh.

Name : Colin Covert / Alias : Minneapolis Star Tribune
Stewart is irresistible here. Allen is a legendary director of women, and Stewart's performance is shockingly good, awards-caliber work.

Name : Moira MacDonald / Alias : Seattle Times
Maybe Woody Allen waited too long to make "Cafe Society"; it seems, weirdly, to be an uninspired remake of itself.

Name : Calvin Wilson / Alias : St. Louis Post-Dispatch
A love story drenched in nostalgia, "Cafe Society" is a film of rare beauty.

Name : Mick LaSalle / Alias : San Francisco Chronicle
Allen is confident that he can skip scenes, shift locations and more or less take his audience anywhere he wants, so long as he's entertaining, and in this he's right.

Name : Rex Reed / Alias : New York Observer
Romantic, bittersweet and funny as hell, Cafe Society turns Hollywood inside out, rooting through the superficial tinsel to find the real tinsel. You go away gobsmacked, beaming and happy to be both.

Name : Will Leitch / Alias : The New Republic
Replacement Level Allen. There are pleasures to be found. But you have to look a little harder than usual.

Name : Glenn Kenny / Alias : RogerEbert.com
It's the filmmaking around the writing that casts a particular spell. Particularly near the end, as Allen adds up the moral failings and squelched desires and doused dreams of all his characters.

Name : Steven Rea / Alias : Philadelphia Inquirer
"Life is a comedy written by a sadistic comedy writer," Bobby quips. Cafe Society, on the other hand, is a comedy written by a benumbed one.

Name : Adam Graham / Alias : Detroit News
If it doesn't reach the heights of Woody's best - 2013's "Blue Jasmine" was his last great film - it still has several rich touches, including a luminous performance by Kristen Stewart.

Name : Owen Gleiberman / Alias : Variety
The movie, watchable as it is, never quite overcomes the sense that it's a lavish diagram working hard to come off as a real movie.

Name : Alison Willmore / Alias : BuzzFeed News
It's a film that covers several years and relationships but comes across like a rambling anecdote being told by someone who keeps skipping over the interesting parts.

Name : Rafer Guzman / Alias : Newsday
Woody Allen's new period piece is no match for "Midnight in Paris," but the fine cast and bittersweet themes carry the day.

Name : Joe Dziemianowicz / Alias : New York Daily News
Woody Allen's easy-to-like but lightweight "Cafe Society" serves up just you'd expect from the seasoned writer and director.

Name : Dave Calhoun / Alias : Time Out
A pretty, rambling, minor distraction.

Name : Megan Garber / Alias : The Atlantic
For all its beauty and its star power, the movie never elevates to anything beyond a kind of storyboard sketch.

Name : A.O. Scott / Alias : New York Times
Mr. Allen's literal voice, which supplies narration, sounds unusually sluggish and weary. The same is true of his voice as a writer and director. For every snappy scene or exchange there are three or four that feel baggy and half-written.

Name : Chris Nashawaty / Alias : Entertainment Weekly
It isn't a particularly great Woody Allen movie. Nor is it a particularly disappointing one. It falls into the vast middle ground on his resume - the movies you enjoy sitting through, but quickly forget once the lights come up.

Name : Mike D'Angelo / Alias : AV Club
Watching this film feels like listening to a formerly great pianist whose fingers are now gnarled with arthritis. The notes are right, and played in the correct order, but the tempo is way, way off.

Name : Stephen Whitty / Alias : Newark Star-Ledger
"Cafe Society" meanders a bit . But because it's from a veteran comedian and filmmaker, it also has some smart jokes, and beautiful images.

Name : Peter Howell / Alias : Toronto Star
"I'm kind of half-bored, half-fascinated," Eisenberg tells his bro over the long-distance line, and the sentiment could also apply to the movie - although Storaro's sumptuous cinematography makes even its mundane moments enchanting.

Name : Kenneth Turan / Alias : Los Angeles Times
In the best sense, "Cafe Society" presents itself as an older director's film, dealing as it does with the difference between dreams and reality and the presence and persistence of regret.

Name : David Edelstein / Alias : New York Magazine/Vulture
Allen narrates in a voice that, for the first time, suggests his 80 years of age. But his touch lightens with each film, and the melancholy bubbles up from below and catches you off guard.

Name : Bill Zwecker / Alias : Chicago Sun-Times
It's a beautiful thing to behold.

Name : A.A. Dowd / Alias : AV Club
Neither especially funny nor particularly dramatic, but appealing enough in its handsome melancholia to create the phantom impression of Allen firing on all cylinders.

Name : Amy Nicholson / Alias : MTV
The film is so retro golden that old-timey miners would run the reels through a sieve.

Name : Cary Darling / Alias : Fort Worth Star-Telegram/DFW.com
The film doesn't totally upend Allen's notion that L.A. is a seductively shallow place that has to resort to celebrating the ability to make a right turn on red to feel better about itself. In Cafe Society, it just looks so gorgeous while doing it.

Name : Michael Phillips / Alias : Chicago Tribune
"Cafe Society" is a good-looking nothing, but there are times - thanks more to Allen's direction than his writing, and thanks mostly to the people acting out the masquerade - when "nothing" is sufficient.

Name : Todd McCarthy / Alias : Hollywood Reporter
A small fiction of amiable appeal and vibrancy which goes down as easily as a fizzy cocktail.

Name : J. R. Jones / Alias : Chicago Reader
As in many of Allen's period comedies, the dialogue sounds completely modern and evokes the era only in its endless name-dropping.
